BASIC FUNCTION SUMMARY:
The NetSuite Administrator champions the configuration, support, and continuous improvement of the company’s NetSuite ERP platform. This role is vital for optimizing business operations, ensuring system integrity, and supporting organizational efficiency and growth. The NetSuite Administrator will work closely with the NetSuite Business Analyst and Development team members to ensure NetSuite is leveraged effectively to meet organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Duties, Skills, Responsibilities, and Expectations
NetSuite System Administration
- Manage daily configuration, support, and maintenance of the NetSuite platform
- Conduct user account maintenance, including creation, modification, and deactivation of users
- Assign and adjust roles and permissions to ensure secure and appropriate system access
- Perform routine system integrity checks and audits to maintain reliability and optimize uptime
- Oversee imports and exports of data as required for business operations
- Configure NetSuite to meet organizational requirements with built-in or 3rd party tools
- Define custom fields, forms, roles, and page layouts to support business processes
- Establish and maintain approval workflows and structures as needed
- Maintain data accuracy and consistency through regular audits and cleansing activities
- Coordinate and facilitate data migration projects during upgrades or system changes
- Manage import and export processes to ensure seamless data flow within NetSuite
- Uphold data governance policies and practices for reliable data across systems
- Create saved searches, reports, dashboards, and KPIs using NetSuite’s native analytics tools
- Configure and automate routine reporting to support informed business decision-making
- Set up automated system notifications and reminders for key business events
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for NetSuite users
- Develop and deliver training sessions, user guides, and documentation to improve adoption and proficiency
- Assist with onboarding new users and ongoing education for current users
- Troubleshoot user issues and escalate technical problems as needed
- Monitor system health and performance, proactively addressing potential issues
- Apply system patches and prepare for major upgrades as released by NetSuite
- Test new features and communicate changes to users as part of upgrade readiness
- Stay updated on NetSuite releases and enhancements for continuous improvement
- Assist with system audits, data integrity checks, and ongoing maintenance tasks.
- Support system upgrades and new release testing to ensure business continuity.
- Conduct system testing for new configurations, workflows, and customizations
- Document technical requirements, system changes, and processes for internal records
- Maintain clear records for troubleshooting, compliance, and future system modifications
- Ensure compliance with company policies and security protocols, including user access management and audit trails.

- Manage user access and permissions to safeguard sensitive organizational data
- Monitor audit trails and review system activity for accountability and regulatory adherence
- Promote and enforce best practices in system security and access control
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- NetSuite Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in NetSuite administration, configuration, and customization in complex environments and with third-party integrations (without developer responsibilities)
- Core NetSuite Skills: Proven expertise in configuring and maintaining NetSuite ERP systems, including custom record types, fields, forms, roles, permissions, page layouts, workflows, saved searches, reports, and dashboards. Strong skills in SuiteFlow for workflow automation and NetSuite administrative tools (excluding scripting)
- Administrative Capabilities: Deep understanding of NetSuite administrative functions, including user management, role-based permissions, access controls, audit trails, and data governance for system stability and security
- Performance Optimization: Proficiency in performance tuning using native NetSuite techniques (indexing, caching, optimization) for scalability and efficiency
- Communication Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving technical issues by analyzing system logs, error messages, and performance metrics
- Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with SuiteFlow, SuiteAnalytics, and basic understanding of SuiteScript preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications: NetSuite SuiteFoundation, NetSuite Certified Administrator, or other NetSuite Certifications are a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- The position is fully remote (US only).
- Ability to accommodate multiple time zones, with primary ET (EST/EDT) coverage.
- Dedicated workspace and high-speed internet required.
- Frequent video conference/email/chat communication.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Maintaining a stationary position for up to 50% of the workday.
- Consistently operate a computer and other productivity equipment.
